Children are blessings!
God’s Word instructs us to train up a child in the knowledge of truth so that when they are older, they will never depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).
At First Methodist Church of Conover, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is presented through many age-appropriate programs. We pray that these will ignite a spark in little hearts to desire to know God more. We are intentional about ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, firmly founded in love, which cares for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of our children.
Ongoing ministries for children include Children’s story time during worship services, age-appropriate Sunday School, and a weekly life group for elementary and middle school girls.
Seasonally, we offer Vacation Bible School, the Hoops for Christ Basketball Ministry, Easter 4 Kids (Easter story in crafts and lessons plus egg hunt), Harvest Festival (fun, food and games), and Christmas special activities.
Children get their own story time during both worship services.
Hoops for Christ is a basketball league that runs in December and January each year.
The girls’ small group combines fun, friendship, and faith. For more information, contact Beth Woods.
